Presentation summarizes the relation of forestry disciplines and the landscape management for general benefit. It documents the causes of the forestry crisis at present, analyses the reasons and offers limited way how to fight this undesirable situation.Forestry is under strong social survey, control and criticism, despite having many economic, ecologic and social benefits for the society. This trend is obvious especially in the Middle Europe, with conservative forestry paradigms and general understanding. The main forestry contribution is to bringing together all aspects, presenting itself as the sustainable natural resource guarantee.
