The arboretum Kostelec was found on the total 12.38 ha in year 1954. Since 1954 was accumulated collection of more than 150 conifer species and more than 1000 deciduous trees. This large collection makes it possible for observation survival and growth ofintroduced tree species in our condition. One of the important factors is nature regeneration. We found strong appearance saplings from genus Abies, Acer, Carya, Castanea, Chamaecyparis, Pinus, Pseudotsuga, Quercus, Rhododendron, Thuja in recent years.
