In the years 1992-1998, the following growth traits of the Angus breed (n=553) in the Czech Republic were recorded: birth weight, 210-day and 365-day weight and average daily gains (birth-210 days, birth-365 days and 210-365 days) In a mixed linear modelthe following factors were taken into account: year of birth, herd, sex, calf number, parity (dam´s age) and sire. Correlation and regression analyses were used for describing the relationship between the growth traits.
