The As, Cd and Ni content in crop biomass grown on soils of different parameters treated by one sewage sludge
Original language description
The As, Cd, and Ni accumulations in crop biomass were investigated on nine soils treated by sewage sludge in pot experiment. The application of sewage sludge increased a yield of all crops (spinach, oat, maize). The content of potentially toxic elementsin plants biomass did not well correlate with total soil content and was affected by soil properties and plant species. Soil properties played an important role in As accumulation. Best relationship between total soil content and the accumulation in plants showed Cd.
