3. International workshop for the project: European Typographic Proofreader

At the end of November 2025, the 3rd international workshop of typography experts took place. In the first part of the workshop, the current status of the Typofix project was pre-sented, structured according to individual regions and language areas. Regional experts sum-marized the results to date, drew attention to specific problems of individual languages, and opened topics that require further expert discussion. At the same time, questions of future commercial models of the application were also opened, especially in relation to publishers, institutions, and software partners. During the workshop, the alpha version of the Typofix ap-plication was presented to a wider circle of experts for the first time. The SlonLine technical team demonstrated the basic functionalities and presented possible technical solutions for fur-ther development. The participants agreed that despite the increasing level of digitalization, the need for a high-quality printed typographic manual persists. The workshop ended with a professional lecture by Indra Kupferschmid, dedicated to the issue of font classification. The workshop took place on November 25, 2025 in the premises of the University of Applied Arts in Prague, specifically in the Technology Center Mikulandská 134/5 of the University of Applied Arts in Prague. The workshop is one of the outputs of the European typographic proof-reader.
