    Analytical Chemistry of Norway Spruce Needles, an Important Biomarker of Air Pollution

  • Original language description

    Use of Norway spruce [Picea abies (L.) Karst.] needles i the evaluation of environment is shortly reviewed. Examples of determination of selected phenolic compounds and pigments in the needles are given along with the evaluation of quality of the epistomatal wax and vibrational spectroscopy of the needles. After several improvements the sampling of the needles seems to be still the crucial problem of the evaluation.
