An investigation into the effect of the cell surface hydrophobicity on bacterial and fungal adhesion was carried out and correlated with the effect of stressors and the effect of hydrophobicity of a glass carrier. The biofilm formation detected was shownto be affected in a complex manner by the carrier modification, cell type and by physiologically acting factors of extracellular environment
