    The presented work is targeted at modeling steady state and dynamic behavior of miniaturized reactor systems with a catalyst layer on the wall of support structure. The catalytic miniaturized reactors (or catalytic micro reactors) with typical channel diameter of 50 - 500 mm are intensively investigated in processes where potential for considerable heat transfer exists as well as in kinetic studies of exothermic reactions at near-isothermal conditions. The models concern a single reactor channel with porous layer of catalyst deposited on the metallic wall of micro structured support. The models at different levels of complexity were developed: (i) 1D model with axial dispersion and axial heat conduction in gas and solid phase, (ii) simplified 2D modelinvolving radial diffusion in porous layer of catalyst, (iii) CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulation model in FLUENT# environment as top level model.
