    Preparation and properties of photocatalyticaly active hybrid TiO2-SiO2-polydimethylsiloxane layers

    The investigated hybrid layers consist of two inorganic components (TiO2 and SiO2) and one organic component (polydimethylsiloxane). TiO2 causes photocatalytic activity, SiO2 increases the resistance against corrosive environment, and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) guarantees good adhesion of the films on the substrate, and facilitates the formation of crack-free coatings. The present paper describes the influence of the amount of inorganic components, namely TiO2 and SiO2, on the properties of the resulting hybrid layers.

    Studované hybridní vrstvy obsahují dvě anorganické komponenty (TiO2 a SiO2) a jednu organickou komponentu (polydimetylsiloxan). Přítomnost TiO2 má za následek fotokatalytickou aktivitu, SiO2 zvyšuje korozní odolnost v prostředí a polydimetylsiloxan (PDMS) zlepšuje adhezi filmu k podložce a zajišťuje tvorbu povlaku bez trhlin (prasklin). Tato práce se zabývá vlivem množství anorganických komponent, TiO2 a SiO2 na vlastnosti výsledné hybridní vrstvy.
