The goal of this work is to present a role of the combination of sulphate and reducing agent in glass melting and refining. To study this problem, the methods of evolved gas analysis and high temperature observation of bubble behavior were used. Experimental results have proved two-steps mechanism of the reaction of sulphate and reducing agent.
