    The present work deals with the photocatalytic properties of self-organized TiO2 nanotubes. The tubes were grown by anodic oxidation of titanium in fluoride containing electrolytes (1M Na2SO4 and H2SO4 with NaF or HF). The electrochemical treatment consisted of a potential ramp (100 mV/s) from open-circuit potential to 20 V, followed by holding at a constant potential of 20 V for 2 hours. Tubes have a diameter of approx. 100 nm, wall thickness of 15 nm and length of 500 nm (?short? nanotubes ? Fig.1a) and 2500 nm (?long? nanotubes ? Fig. 1b). The samples of nanotubes layers were annealed in air at 450 °C to form anatase. For comparison compact TiO2 films (prepared by anodic oxidation in 1 M H2SO4) and porous particulate P25 films were used.

    Práce se zabývala fotokatalytickými vlastnostmi nanotrubiček TiO2. Trubičky vyrostly během anodické oxidace titanu v elektrolytu kontaminovaném fluoridy. Trubičky mají průměr okolo 100 nm, tloušťka stěn okolo 15 nm a délka okolo 500 a 2500 nm. Vzorky nanotrubiček byly vypalovány na vzduchu při teplotě 450 °C, získaná krystalografická struktura byl následně anatas. Vlastnosti vrstev byly zjišťovány v porovnání s kompaktními TiO2 filmy a porézními částicovými vrstvami TiO2.
