Original language description

Efficiency of wood consolidation depends on the amount of a consolidant in wood and uniformness of consolidant distribution throughout wood. Therefore, wood consolidation studies should include investigation by methods that provide information regardingconsolidant solution flow through wood and its distribution. Among such methods there belongs neutron radiography. The present contribution describes suitable measuring conditions at the neutron radiography facility of Technical University of Munich anddiscusses the potential of the method based on the results obtained with the penetration of solutions of Paraloid B72 polymer in xylene through wood.
