Original language description
The paper deals with a microscopic imaging which is the extensive technique in area of metallography. The main effort is focused on improving and quantifying of image contrast. Using magneto-optical garnet films the contrast was shown to be proportionalto illumination power and dependent on magnification and other factors. Obtained results and procedure are proposed to be used for comparison of quality of the optical systems and offer a way to make visible magnetic phases in investigated materials.
