Application of equal channel angular pressing to pure magnesium
Original language description
In this paper, the magnesium (single crystals as well as polycrystals) were subjected to Equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) at different temperatures. Microstructure and texture were investigated by SEM-EBSD. The aim of present work is to outline microstructure and texture evolution during severe plastic deformation of magnesium by ECAP. The contribution of different twinning modes to the deformation is demonstrated. The influence of processing parameters such as temperature will also be discussed.
