Thermoplastic Vulcanizates Based on Polyethylene and Styrene-Butadiene Rubber. Part II: Blends without Dynamic Vulcanization.

  • Original language description

The paper deals with thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) based on the cheapest and most widely used components, i.e. high-density polyethylene (PE-HD) and styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR). Binary blends were prepared in an inner mixer and physico-mechanical properties of the resulting TPEs were investigated. Optimization of technological parameters has been performed. Nevertheless, properties of uncured blends are not very satisfactory.
