Mg-Ni, Mg-Mm and Mg-Ni-Mm-based alloys for hydrogen storage
Original language description
n this work, several as-cast binary Mg-Ni, Mg-Mm and ternary Mg-Ni-Mm alloys (Mm=mischmetal) were hydrided at elevated temperature by new electrochemically method to determine the most prospective alloys for electrochemical hydrogen storage. Electrochemical hydriding was performed in 6 M KOH solution at 80 °C for 480 min at 100 A/m2 and hydrided alloy was the cathode. The microstructure of both as cast and hydrided alloys were investigated by optical and scanning electron microscopy equipped by energy dispersive spectrometry analyzer, and X-ray diffraction.
