    Utilization of semi-mechanistic steam-cracking model

  • Original language description

    A kinetic model of steam-cracking for industrial utilization was created which includes the description of entire wide range of feedstock types usually processed on production unit. Using exact component composition of light feedstock and common empiriccharacterization of heavy feedstock together with control parameters of cracker(s) it is able to simulate the running of whole production unit. Deviations between prediction and process balance obtained during a long time period running monitoring are comfortable inside the process balance accuracy. It can be utilized for example as a balancing tool for analysis of data obtained from process balance (on entire production unit level) on the level of individual crackers.
