  • Original language description

    L-Pro2, (S)-N-acetylproline dodecylester, is a newly synthesized highly active skin permeation enhancer described recently [1]. This study contributes to elucidation of the mechanism of action of L-Pro2 using membrane models mimicking composition of thereal stratum corneum (SC) lipid matrix. The effect of L-Pro2 on the miscibility, fluidity and phase behaviour of the SC lipids has been studied by X-ray diffraction, IR- spectroscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry.
