Nanostructuring of bridged organosilane precursors with pendant alkyl chains
Original language description
The copper-catalyzed alkyne azide cycloaddition reaction was combined with sol-gel reactions for the production of bridged silsesquioxanes, in which hexyl and icosanyl chains are anchored on a single position of the triazole ring. The influence of the alkyl chain length on the structuring of the bridged silsesquioxanes was examined. The C20/siloxane material exhibits a hierarchically structured lamellar bilayer organisation and reversible time-independent order/disorder phase transition.
