Original language description
Demand for high-speed bearings and strongest magnets are growing worldwide. In this work, 40 pieces of superconducting single-domain YBCO bulks were prepared in a single batch and analysed. All of them were made from a single batch of starting powder and also processed together in the furnace. Nd-123 thin film was used as a seed for single domain crystals growth (TSMG). The levitation force was measured and studied on all bulks. Results proved that our method is suitable for the large-scale synthesis of YBCO single domain bulks and the quality of prepared samples is highly uniform. The quality of larger batches is important for industrial use.
