Influence of Type of Styrene-Butadiene Rubber on the Properties of Silica-Filled SBR/NR/BR Compounds for Agricultural and Construction Tyres
Original language description
Styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) is the most common type of synthetic rubber, the major part being consumed for passenger car tyres. As the requirements for performance, durability and safety of tyres rise increasingly, new raw materials are utilized, e.g. solution SBR and precipitated silica. The approach, used for passenger car tyres for past few decades, has become desirable also for off-road tyres recently. Therefore, the paper compares the properties of ten grades of SBR and the properties of the respective raw and cured rubber compounds for agricultural and construction tyres.
