    For comparison of qualitative and quantitative composition of population in the activated sludges#s samples from WWTPs Munich I and Munich II (Germany) were used 16s rRNA specific probes. Their sequence was found in database ProbeBase. Further sludges were classified according to NITRI-VIT key of firm Vermicon AG (Germany). Microscopic analysis samples after FISH was performed with laser scanning microscopes Zeiss and Leica. Microscopic images were treated by programme Lucia G. We measure mutual ratio of cells labeled with specific probe for nitrifiers nad cells labeled with equimolar mixtures of three probes specific for eubacteria (EUB338, EUB338 II, EUB338 III). Data were confronted with chemical data that was made in WWTPs. For comparison we performed FISH analysis of activated sludges of WWTPs Prague and Mladá Boleslav II that were taken approximately in the same time as German samples.
