  • Original language description

Biomass and plant wastes gasification in small and medium units enables effective transformation of problematic fuels not only to heat but also to electricity. This is an advantage in comparison with combustion. However, inaccessibility of effective andcheap gas cleaning is an "Achileus heel" of this technology. The paper deals with problems connected with high temperature cleaning of the produced gas and discuss requirements for its utilization in combustion engines, gas turbines and high temperaturefuel cells. A specific hot gas cleaning process is proposed, which consist of continually working moving bed filter of granular material. This calcareous material captures also H2S a HCl. Tar removal is made in the first stage in the fluidized bed reactor and in the second stage on nickel catalysts placed behind the moving bed filter. This system would be capable to produce the clean gas usable in combustion engines, gas turbines and high temperature fuel cells.
