This paper is devoted to using of respirometry for control of WWTP (wastewater treatment plant) operation and solving of operational problems. Laboratory batch respirometric test is a simple method for microbial activity determination. At WWTP "A" respirometric batch test was used during troubleshooting with enhanced concentration of toxic agents present in wastewater. It was confirmed that nitrification rates were higher and also effluent quality at WWTP "B" was better at time of bioaugmentation engagement. From October 2003 test operation at third observed WWTP ("C") has been checked via respirometry.

Využití respirometrických metod a kinetických testů v praxi
Czech description
V tomto příspěvku jsme se zaměřili na využití respirometrie (jednoduchá laboratorní metoda na určení aktivity mikroorganismů) ke kontrole provozu ČOV. Metoda byla dokladována na 3 ČOV. Na první ČOV (A) byla sérií testů prokázána přítomnost toxických látek v odpadní vodě. Na ČOV B byla ověřena bioaugmentace nitrifikace a na ČOV C bylo monitorováno zkušební období (postupné zapracování kalu).
