Activity of sulphur cycle bacteria in anaerobic digestion
Original language description
The methods of the specific activity of sulphide oxidizing bacteria assessment in anaerobic sludge are compared and optimized. The results of biochemical micro-aerobic sulphide oxidation in anaerobic digester are presented. The monitoring of sludge quality from full scale digester confirms the correlation of activity with efficiency of sulphide oxidation. The removal of hydrogen sulphide from biogas 99 % was achieved.
