Original language description
During separations in both polar and nonpolar srationary phases of gas chromatographic columns, side alkyl chains of n-alkylphenols and n-alkylbenzenes become cyclized. The increase involves not only intramolecularly but also intermolecularly asting effects and become significantly evident when propyl and higher substituents as butyl, pentyl and hexyl konstitute the side alkyl chains.

Czech description
Při separaci na polární a nepolárních stacionárních fázích byla prokázána cyklizace u n-alkylfenolů a n-alkylbenzenů s alkylem delším než n-propyl.
