Use of microaerobic conditions at the wastewater treatment
Original language description
The anaerobic digestion is one of the basic technological methods for biological wastewater treatment and sewage sludge stabilization. The implementation of the anaerobic digestion brings for specific pollutants higher wastewater treatment efficiency andin general lower operational costs of wastewater treatment technology. The anaerobic process was a long time strictly disconnected from the aerobic process. This study describes the possibility to connect these two processes for the purpose to higher efficiency of the common anaerobic wastewater treatment. Due the dosing of limited amount of air or oxygen into the anaerobic system, the microaerobic conditions are created. The utilization of the microaeration leads to improvement the biodegradability oforganic compounds (decrease of residual COD), to enhancement of microorganisms diversity, to possible decrease of toxicants concentration and to improvement of biogas quality. In this study are presented the data collected during paralle
