Anaerobic digestion of organic material with high nitrogen content
Original language description
This paper summarises results of the co-digestion of waste activated sludge (WAS) and meat and bone meal (MBM) which was used as an example of nitrogen rich waste with high energetic potential. Influence of MBM on the biogas production and stability of the anaerobic process was observed. Methane production, soluble chemical oxygen demand (CODS), volatile fatty acids (VFA) and TAN concentration were the key factors for the evaluating of MBM influence.
