Original language description

This paper deals with monitoring of sites and stores around Yerevan contaminated by obsolete pesticides. The aim of this study was to get a picture of the problems around hazardous pesticides in Armenia, evaluate risks for population and environment andinform people living near these contaminated sites. Analysis of taken samples are also presented in this paper. From the Armenian side the mission was organized by NGO Armenian Women for Healt &amp; Healthy Environment (AWHHE), which is the only focal point of IPEN (International POPs Elimination Network) in Armenia.
