Removal of hydrogen sulphide from biogas by combination of scrubbing and biooxidation
Original language description
The aim of the study is a development of equipment for scrubbing of hydrogen sulphide from biogas and oxidation of sulphides in aerated bioreactor. Sulphides removal rates ranged from 25.4 to 26.7 g.m-3.h-1 dependent of the concentration of dissolved oxygen. The bioreactor can efficiently oxidize sulphides with the bacteria biomass partly in the biofilm and in the suspension in the carrier pores. The scrubbing of biogas was accomplished in the packed scrubber with a counterflow of washing liquid.
