    Ecotoxicity is usually assessed using a battery of tests on single species. But it does not include the interaction of different organisms and chemicals simultaneously. This work was therefore focused on introducing multispecies test with soil organisms- microorganisms, plants and invertebrates. Another objective was to compare the effects of toxic reference substance (boric acid) when performing this multispecies test and adequate standard ecotoxicological tests to verify whether the newly proposed multi-species variation provides sufficient and relevant values. The results indicate the applicability our multispecies microcosm developed for testing of chemicals.
