    Characterisation of oxide layers on boiler tubes

  • Original language description

    A complex methodology for characterization of oxide layers formed during long-term operation on heat transfer surfaces of steam generators is presented. It includes estimation of the mass, metallographic analysis, oxide resistivity measurements, analysisusing spectroscopic techniques (Mössbauer spectroscopy, FTIR). Physical-chemical properties of the layers are compared with the results of impedance spectroscopy measurements (EIS). Usability of EIS measurements for oxide layer characterisation is discussed
