Original language description

Reaction of 1,2-O-isopropylidene-a-D-ribofuranose with triphenylphosphine and diethyl azodicarboxylate gave a mixture of several polar compounds that was analysed by GLC, GC/MS and LC/MS techniques. N(5-C-5-deoxy-ribofuranosyl)-hydrazinodicarboxylate wasisolated and identified as a major product. Its structure was confirmed by NOE NMR measurement.
