Original language description
The study is focused on testing of the abilities of plant cells to transform and metabolise environmental xenobiotics, especially polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). The efficiency of PCBs transformation was tested using the cells of different plant species cultivated in vitro. Chosen cultures with the best ability to metabolise PCBs were used for studies of optimisation of incubation conditions and in case of PCBs also determination of the transformation products of individual PCB congeners.
