The role of plant peroxidases in PCB degradation - sborník
Original language description
Extracellular peroxidase enzyme activity was detected after cultivation of various plant species. Level of the enzyme activity was correlated with the ability to metabolize polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) by plant cells. The cultures with high PCB-transforming activity proved to exhibit high ability to produce total peroxidases in liquid medium and in plant cells. Activity positively correlated with PCB degradation. Peroxidase degradation products were analysed.
