Benzothiadiazole and salicylic acid stimulate phospholipase C and D in Brassica napus - sborník
Original language description
Plants developed complex mechanisms protecting them from pathogen-attack. In incompatible host-pathogen interactions, plant often becomes more resistant to subsequent infection resulting in the establishment of so-called systemic acquired resistance (SAR). The state of SAR is characterized by accumulation of salicylic acid (SA) and expression of anti-microbial pathogen-related (PR) proteins. (Hammerschmidt, 1999, Van Loon and Van Strien, 1999). Though these processes are well characterized, only littleis known about the early events and the involvement of phospholipid signalling pathway in plant-pathogen interaction becomes an aim of common interest. Phospholipase C (PLC) and phospholipase D (PLD) are both important signalling enzymes producing secondmessengers (inositol-1,3,5-phosphate, phosphatidic acid). These molecules activate a MAP kinase cascade and other enzymes (Laxalt, 2002). Here, we report the importance of PLC as well as PLD for transduction of plant defence signal leadin
