5,10,15,20-Tetrakis-[3?-(2,3,4,6-tetra-O-benzyl-ß-D-glucopyranosyl)-5ß-cholan-24-yl]porphyrinand 5,10,15,20-tetrakis-[3?-(2,3,4,6-tetra-O-benzyl-ß-D-galactopyranosyl)-5ß-cholan-24-yl]-porphyrin were synthesized by condenzation of the respective steroid aldehydes and pyrrole-1-yl magnesium bromide.
