Isolation and characterisation of bacteria with possible use for groundwater decontamination in multibarrier system,
Original language description
Contaminated leachates were tested from the point of their toxicity and genotoxicity. Toxicity was followed using luminescent bacteria and eucaryotic systém Lactuca sativa. Genotoxicity was tested by Ames test with different mutant strains of Sallmonelatyphimurium. Bacteria degrading organics BTEX etc. were isolated and their genetic properties by DGGE were analysed.
