    Gasoline Vapor Biofiltration

  • Original language description

While gasoline vapor emissions are common sources of air pollution in many areas, very few results have been published on biofilter biodegradation of gasoline vapors in flowing waste gases. For this reason, we initiated this investigation using a bench-scale biofilter with ID 50 mm and a bed height of 850 mm. An inexpensive fire clay chip media was used as a packing material. The biofilter was inoculated with an enrichment mixed culture of common microflora. The microbial strains and genera of culturable cells in the inoculum and in the biofilm after six months of gasoline degradation were evaluated.

    Biofiltrace benzínových par
