Original language description
Continuous 2,4-dinitrotoluene degradation by a mixed microbial culture immobilized on a porous glass packing material (Poraver) was studied. The loading rate was varied by changing the inlet 2,4-DNT concentration at three different water flow rates. Theremoval efficiency of 2,4-DNT in presence of 4-NT was lower than when 2,4-DNT was degraded as a sole contaminant.
