GM plants expressing bacterial dioxygenase and yeast metallothionein genes can enhance phytoremediation level
Original language description
The text summarized reached results in preparation of transgenic plants used for phytoremediation of organic and inorganic pollutants. We have prepared genetically modified tobaccos containing bacterial genes with the aim to improve the phytoremediationabilities to polychlorinated biphenyls and heavy metals. The viability of prepared transgenic plants was studied on media with toxic substrates.
