Detection of isoflavonoids in Cephalotaxus harringtoniana and Taxus baccata
Original language description
Isoflavonoids, secondary plant metabolites, are typical for the Fabaceae family, but they were also detected in other families. Cephalotaxus harringtonia (Cephalotaxaceae) and Taxus baccata (Taxaceae) are used for isolation of cephalotaxine and 10-deacetyl-baccatin III, respectively. Residues of three plant extracts after isolation of these substances and ethanolic extracts of needles and branches of C. harringtonia and T. baccata were analysed for the presence of isoflavonoids. Results of HPLC-MS, immunoaffinity chromatography and ELISA show, that daidzin, daidzein, genistin, genistein, isoformononetin and prunetin were the most frequent isoflavonoids in these samples.
