Influence of multivalent ions on rhmanolipid production
Original language description
In recent years there is increasing interest in the use of biosurfactants as alternatives for chemical surfactants, in bioremediation processes. Because of their excellent properties (low toxicity and biodegradability in the environment) rhamnolipids aremore suitable for biotechnology applications. The most known biosurfactants are rhamnolipids from glycolipid family. The most famous rhamnolipid producer is pathogenic bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa, but there are many other producers. Rhamnolipid production is influenced by many factors including: production microorganism, culture conditions and the composition of culture medium. Presence, amount and ratio of medium elements in crucial for rhamnolipid production. This work is focused on the selection of the most suitable composition for cultivation medium used for rhamnolipid production by bacterial strains: Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, Enterobacter asburiae, Pseudomnas aeruginosa. These bacterial strains were previously identified
