The present invention provides novel strains of lactobacilli producing substances effective against vaginal pathogens, Lactobacillus crispatus CCM 7997; Lactobacillus reuteri CCM 7998; Lactobacillus crispatus CCM 8522; Lactobacillus fermentum CCM 8523. These new strains of lactobacilli are suitable for the prevention and / or treatment of chronic urogenital infections, restoration of the natural vaginal flora and / or eliminate discomfort of women in premenstrual and menstrual period. They can be used as pharmaceutical active compounds or hygiene products.
