Original language description
The separation ran on 8-column preparative chromatography unit KCHS-SMB-8-N (UCT, Prague). Eluent was the deionized water. Firstly, the discontinuous separation was performed and operational parameters for continuous process were calculated. Then the continuous separation ran up to the steady state was achieved. The operational parameters were tuned with the help of optimization to get the maximum possible purity of galactose and mannose in corresponding output streams.
