The basic idea of cosmic breeding is the streamlining and practical use of spontaneous radiation mutagenesis with the aim of increasing the production of much-needed food. What effect can the space environment have on the growth and development of biological systems? How far along is space biotech research at the moment? How can new breeding techniques such as CRISPR or TALEN be applied in space breeding? These are examples of questions that the Space Biotechnology seminar focuses on. At the seminar, four presentations will be given by doc. RNDr. Eduard Kejnovsky, CSc., prof. RNDr. Zdenek Opatrny, CSc., Mgr. Ivan Kulich, Ph.D. and Dr. Chris Dardick
