  • Original language description

    The work describes both the steady and transient behaviours of biofilters loaded with a mixture of xylene and toluene. The results proved the following facts: The bed temperature above 30°C gives a higher degradation ability of the biocatalsyt. Keeping the bed humidity above 60°C the cell activity is maintained at the high level. Short-term high loading steps have a reversible inhibitory effect on pollutant degradations.
