Modelling of the Warehouse Location Problem

Original language description

Optimum location of distribution objects is an important partial problem of optimization of logistic channels. Various location models are used according to both characteristics of a distribution space and methods of calculation of transportation distances. The models simplify the location problem and remove certain difficulties in the location process. There are mentioned advantages and disadvantages of both location models and methods used for their optimization in the article. Their basic characteristics are presented by a model example of location of distribution warehouses for ten selling centres.
