Original language description
This paper describes basic features of HMI (Human Machine Interface) of knowledge-based control system BIOGENES II, designed for the control of biotechnological processes. The visualisation interface consists of many different displays of various functions, including displays for data monitoring, representation of trends of variables over time, calibration of measuring devices, alarm monitoring and process control. Displays have been developed in Wonderware InTouch, a software application for industrialautomation, component of FactorySuite 2000 software package. The HMI of the control system BIOGENES II proved to be transparent and easy to use and turned out to be a valuable tool in bioprocess research, monitoring and control.
