Influence of solid and gas phase on residence time distribution of liquid in stirred continuous vessel
Original language description
Two models based on idea of ideal mixer were employed for the description of continuous stirred tank, the model of an ideal mixer with the wide input pulse of a tracer and the Gamma distribution model. The first model fits the experimental data very welland better than the second model. The presence of solid phase caused decrease of mean residence times approximately 10 % in the range of solid concentration 0 - 14 % (by weight). Aeration of the vessel charge has not statistical significance on value ofmean residence time at all experimental conditions, even small decrease with the aeration was observed.
